Simon Klarer, Director

On his way from waitress to hotel manager, Simon Klarer from eastern Switzerland worked his way up from the bottom. After his apprenticeship as a chef in a Gault Millau restaurant, he continued his training in the military as a sergeant/kitchen manager. He has worked continuously in about 5 different hotels in the management, mainly in the F&B area, including such renowned hotels as the Kulm Arosa or the Waldhaus Flims. Despite his young age of 30, he has already completed a lot of training and further education, from the master teacher course and sommelier to the EHL Hotel Management School in Chur, from which he graduated with the title of Hotelier-Restauranteur HF. His last job was at the Design Hotel in Austria. When the opportunity arose to manage the ****S Boutique-Hotel THE ONYA RESORT& SPA as well as the ***S Hotel ZUR ALTEN GASSE as director, he did not hesitate for a second and followed the call to Bellwald. His goal is to further develop our two hotels in the hospitality sector.

Caroline Colbatzky, / Front Office Manager & Assistent to the Director

Caroline has been working the most time of her working life in the hotel industry. She already led the reception for us 2 years ago. We are happy having her back for the Chef, Reception, Sales and Guest relations. She is French and is helping us with our great guets from the Swiss Romand. Caroline with her charme is also the assistent from our Director.

Simon Imoberdorf , Head Chef

The passionate chef Simon Imoberdorf  started his career with his training as a chef in 2002 and is now in the prime of his cooking life. Simon 36 years of life , a positive person, wishes  to take our 13 Gault Millau cuisine back to 14 Gault Millau points.  He has worked in very upscale establishments, foreign and also in Zermatt in Mount Cervo. The last 3 years he has tried in another industry but for him, it was clearly to come back to the kitchen, which is his great passion,  For Simon , this is his first job in the Swiss Alps as a Chef.

Oliver Halletz, Chef de Service

Oliver is a passionate waiter in his prime. As a trained restaurant specialist he has gained a rich experience especially in **** and ***** star houses. He has worked as Chef de Rang, head waiter and restaurant manager in his home country Germany, but also abroad. We are happy to have such an experienced man with us.

Lukas Herzog, Waiter

Lukas Herzog is our Youngster. With his 24 years he already has a good  experience. This due to his successful graduation in 2020  from the Higher School for economics  and Hotel Managmenthospitality . After his studies, he  has worked mostly in service but also to get experience in other fields. He is our language talent with German, French ans Espaniol.  Our Chef de Service Oliver could not ask for a better deputy.

Sandor Todoruc, Sous Chef / Cook

Sandor is a trained cook from Hungary but has been living in Switzerland for over 10 years. He has been with us for six seasons and is therefore the longest serving of our chefs. He knows the Gault Millau cuisine very well and has proven to be an experienced and especially efficient cook. Sandor is a reliable, upbeat guy and brings calmness into the kitchen with his quiet manner. He was promoted as Sous Chef cook on 2022.

Peter Wagner, cook

Peter,  has moved to the beautiful Bellwald since December 2022. The Hungarien has a great experience and the 53 old man was always in the kitchen. The last years he was also a teacher in cocking classes. 

Simona Glatzowa, Housekeeping Supervisor

Simona’s childhood dream was to live in Switzerland and learn German. She will realize this dream in 2019 after successfully completing her bachelor’s degree in tourism in Birmingham. With her open nature, she not only welcomes the guests at their breakfast, but is also always a contact person in every housekeeping concern.

Vladimir Kolesar, Housekeeping and Maintenance Manager

Vladimir followed his love Simona to Switzerland in 2019. He really appreciates the atmosphere and landscape here in Switzerland, as it reminds him of the time when he worked on various farms in Edingburgh. Due his handicraft degree, he not only supports the three women in housekeeping, he is also applicable for the upkeep of the two hotels.

Kristina Feher Attliane, Housekeeping

Kristina is the ” Mamia ” of the house. In December 2019 she came to Switzerland through a friend. Kristina has been a part of our team for several seasons and therefore she knows the housekeeping department inside out.

Viktoria Horvathne Petra, Housekeeping

Viktoria is a reliable employee in the housekeeping department with her open and friendly character. She has already been working with us for four seasons. Her German language skills as a native Hungarian improved and therefore she can also be assigned as a waitress in the breakfast.

Anetta Tolnoi, Kitchen Support

Anetta  is a reliable employee in the kitchen  with her open and friendly character. She has already been working with us for 3 seasons. Her German language skills as a native Hungarian improved. Seh is mother of 2 adult children.

Barbora Fidekova, Massage Therapist & Relaxing Manager

Since 2009, the life of our beloved massage therapist never stood still. After training as a wellness masseuse, Barbora did a minimum of one training a year or acquired new skills, such as cosmetic treatments, aromatherapy, Lomi Lomi, scooping, spine therapy, only to mention a few.

Her statement “Just as every human is unique, so is every one of my treatments,” shows exactly why all your customers appreciate her so much. We are proud to call her part of our team.

Roger Geissberger, Owner

The workload Roger copes with is immense! In addition to his two hotels THE ONYA RESORT & SPA and the Hotel Zur Alten Gasse, he not only leads the FC Aarau as Vice President, but is also the Chairman  and co-owner of the Knecht Travel Group  group, which is one of the leading Swiss tour operators, and a loving family man. “The early bird catches the worm” is not just a phrase for Roger. In addition to his other duties and hobbies, he masters the flood of calls, mails and interviews that rain in daily, seemingly without problems.

The nice thing is that besides all this, Roger always has time to deal with a problem, to listen to a request or to chat with employees and customers. His team has become incredibly dear to him as he is the same to us! An owner, who puts so much strength and time into his house, transfers all of this to his team and this energy is mentally as well as physically touchable!

Bernadette Geissberger, Owner

Bernadette, fondly called Beni by all, is the good fairy of the house. The incredibly natural and friendly way she interacts with employees makes everyone feel part of the family. Not only is Beni the owner and interior decorator of THE ONYA RESORT & SPA, but she also handles the entire accounting. And this in addition to the work, which brings the accounting of the companies KN-Travel, RBG family holding and RGB hotels. The wide-ranged professional experience as a management assistant at Swissair and her duty as a mother makes Beni a hotel owner, everybody could wish for.
